Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch M5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Silver (MDE04X/A) – Built for On-Device AI, Code and Creative Work
The Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with M5 (MDE04X/A) is designed for the AI tools people now run every day. Apple’s M5 chip places Neural Accelerators inside each of its 10 GPU cores, alongside a 16-core Neural Engine and 153GB/s of memory bandwidth. As a result, the laptop runs Apple Intelligence features, AI image generation, transcription and smaller local language models directly on the device, without sending your data to the cloud or relying on a fast connection. Its 10-core CPU, which Apple describes as 4 super cores and 6 efficiency cores, also compiles code and exports projects quickly.
In addition, 16GB of unified memory gives developers, analysts and creators room to keep Xcode, VS Code, Docker, Figma and dozens of browser tabs open together, while the 512GB SSD holds projects and datasets. Meanwhile, the 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display reaches 1,000 nits for SDR content and 1,600 nits peak HDR with ProMotion up to 120Hz, and a 12MP Center Stage camera keeps you framed on calls. Furthermore, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, an SDXC card slot and MagSafe 3 connect everything at a Westlands co-working desk, and Apple rates the 72.4Wh battery for up to 24 hours of video streaming.
