Vention USB 3.0 A Male to A Female Extension Cable 3M Black PVC Type (CBHBI) – Room-Length Reach for Webcams, Dongles and Drives
The Vention USB 3.0 A Male to A Female Extension Cable 3M Black PVC Type (CBHBI) is a 3-metre USB 3.0 extension cable with a USB Type-A male plug on one end and a USB Type-A female socket on the other. Rather than just lifting a port onto the desk, it carries a USB connection across a room, for example from a PC to a conference webcam mounted on a boardroom screen or to a Wi-Fi dongle placed near a window for a stronger signal. On a USB 3.0 port, it transfers data at up to 5Gbps, so a 1GB file moves in about five seconds. In addition, it works with USB 2.0 devices and ports at 480Mbps.
To hold that speed over the longer run, Vention builds it with tinned copper conductors at 22 + 28AWG and aluminium foil, metal braid and ground-layer shielding. Meanwhile, nickel-plated connectors resist corrosion, and the 5.4mm PVC jacket routes neatly along walls and under carpets. Consequently, a boardroom in Upper Hill or a classroom in Eldoret can place USB devices where they work best. However, for reliable 5Gbps performance, plug devices straight into the extension rather than chaining it to a second long cable.

Who This Is Best Suited For
As a result of this combination of specs, three types of users benefit most:
- Boardrooms and meeting rooms – connect a screen-mounted webcam or speakerphone to a PC
- Home and office users with weak Wi-Fi – move a USB Wi-Fi adapter to a better spot
- Classrooms and training rooms – run USB devices from a teacher’s PC to a projector area
