HP EliteBook 840 G3 Core i5 6th Gen, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD (Refurbished) – A Budget Business Laptop That Connects to Almost Anything
The refurbished HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14-inch aluminium business laptop that keeps the ports many newer laptops have dropped. It includes a VGA port for older projectors, a full-size DisplayPort 1.2 that drives monitors up to 4K at 60Hz, a Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) port, an SD card reader, USB-C and two USB-A 3.0 ports. As a result, it plugs straight into the projectors in school staffrooms, county offices and church halls, as well as wired networks and cameras, without a bag of adapters.
Under the keyboard, a 6th Gen Intel Core i5 processor (i5-6200U or vPro i5-6300U, depending on unit) with Intel HD Graphics 520 handles email, Word, Excel, web browsing and online classes. In addition, 8GB DDR4 RAM sits in two customer-accessible SO-DIMM slots that support up to 32GB, so an inexpensive memory upgrade can extend the laptop’s useful life. Meanwhile, the 256GB M.2 SSD keeps start-up quick, and HP’s 46Wh Long Life battery carries a rating of up to 13 hours 30 minutes. At about 1.48kg and 1.89cm thin, it travels easily between Nakuru, Eldoret and Nairobi. Every unit arrives refurbished, tested and inspected for dependable daily use.
